Before Your Float

Just yourself. Towels, showers, soap, shampoo, and earplugs are provided at check-in. If you have long hair, you may wish to bring a hair tie or swimming cap to keep it out of the way.

While some establishments may allow it, at Rhema Wellness Studio, hygiene is our top priority. Even though sanitary products can help prevent contamination, we prefer not to take any risks and kindly ask that you avoid floating during your menstrual cycle.

Avoid shaving, limit caffeine, eat a light meal, and arrive 10 minutes early if it’s your first visit. Take a cooler-than-usual in-room shower before floating.

Yes – we recommend having a light meal about an hour beforehand. Avoid large meals or coming in on an empty stomach, as both can be distracting. Try to limit caffeine as well, as it may make it harder to relax during your session.

Safety

No. The water is only 10 inches deep and highly buoyant—you will float naturally. Many people even choose to sleep during their session.

People with claustrophobia consistently report no issues. You’re always in control—float with the pod open and the room lights on if that helps.

Yes, and we actively encourage it! Floating provides weight relief during pregnancy and can help you bond with your baby. Many mums-to-be describe it as a “pregnancy must.”

There are no weight restrictions — even when used as a bath soak, it remains highly effective for all body types.

Experience

Most people float nude, and we recommend it. Clothing can become heavy with salt and may distract you from the experience.

Absolutely! While you can’t float together in the same pod, you can book sessions at the same time.

No. We are a sanctuary for rest, peace, and recovery—free from New Age rituals. Floating is a scientifically backed wellness practice used for over 40 years.

Facilities & Cleanliness

Yes! Epsom salt has long been used to treat skin conditions and will leave your skin feeling smooth and silky. We also sell Epsom salt for home use between floats.

The water is filtered three times between each float using a 1-micron filter (1/100th the diameter of a human hair), sanitised with disinfectant, and treated with UV light.

We follow strict cleaning protocols and sanitise all treatment rooms and communal areas between each guest. Hygiene is a top priority, and we’re committed to maintaining a spotless, safe space.
